A Manifesto for Luxury Dried Flowers in Interior Design from Design by Nature

At Design by Nature, we believe nature belongs in the home, not as an afterthought, but as an integral part of interior design.

We are a luxury floral design studio specialising in dried flowers and sculptural botanical installations for contemporary interiors. Our philosophy is rooted in the idea that dried flowers are not simply decorative accents, but enduring design elements that deserve a place in the design process.

Working closely with interior designers and architects, we treat dried florals much like furniture, lighting, or art. Their form, colour, and texture help shape a space early on, creating harmony and balance throughout the interior. By incorporating dried botanicals at the planning stage, we ensure that they complement the palette, materials, and architectural language of a room.

Our work celebrates the true colours of nature. Much of the natural world exists in muted, earthy tones,  soft browns, warm neutrals, gentle greens, and subtle pops of colour. Luxury dried flowers reflect this authentic palette, making them especially suited to thoughtfully designed interiors where cohesion and longevity matter.

Dried flowers also fulfil a deeply human need to live alongside nature. Unlike fresh flowers or living plants that require constant replacement or maintenance, dried botanicals are long-lasting, sustainable, and timeless. They bring a sense of calm, warmth, and connection to a space without disrupting its design integrity.

At Design by Nature, our aim is to give lasting value to botanicals by creating sculptural dried flower arrangements and installations that become part of the architecture of a space.
